Process Safety Lead

We are seeking an experienced professional to lead and embed world-class process safety practices in our Power Station team in Brisbane.

\

This is a well-rewarded opportunity to influence safety at our clients' power generation assets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • \
  • Develop, implement, and continuously improve the client's Process Safety Management framework\
  • Provide expert guidance on hazard identification, risk assessment, and control strategies for high-risk operations\
  • Champion compliance with WHS legislation, industry standards (e.g., AS/NZS ISO 45001, IEC 61511), and internal governance\
  • Drive HAZOP, LOPA, Bowtie, and SIL assessments across operational sites\
  • Collaborate with engineering, operations, and maintenance teams to ensure design integrity and safe operating envelopes\
  • Lead incident investigations and root cause analyses for process safety events\
  • Foster a culture of safety leadership, accountability, and continuous learning\

    • Requirements:\
      • \
      • Tertiary qualifications in Engineering, Process Safety, or a related discipline\
      • Minimum 15 years' experience in process safety within power generation, oil & gas, or heavy industry\
      • RPEQ certified\
      • Proven expertise in risk management methodologies, safety case development, and regulatory compliance\
      • Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to influence at all levels\
      • Experience working across multi-site operations and managing complex stakeholder environments\
      • A passion for safety innovation and operational excellence\
