Job Title: Senior Electrical Systems Designer

About the Role:

An experienced electrical systems designer will be responsible for designing and developing electrical systems for marine HVAC applications.

The successful candidate will work closely with the project team to ensure that all electrical systems are designed, installed, and commissioned to meet or exceed customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Designing electrical drawings and wiring diagrams under supervision.
  • Programming and configuring PLC and HMI systems.
  • Providing input to project planning process and assessing time required for tasks.
  • Responsible for end-to-end testing, downloading programming, starting up, commissioning, and servicing on assigned projects.
  • Supporting field engineers during start-up and commissioning.
  • Updating AutoCAD control panel drawings and wiring diagrams.
  • Reading and interpreting control sequence logic from control philosophy documents.
  • Ongoing travel to plant installations and working with customers.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Instrumentation.
  • 5 years of experience in electrical engineering.
  • Experience in drawing panel layouts in AutoCAD Electrical.
  • Experience with various PLC and industrial controls systems.
  • Familiar with PLC programming and implementation.
  • Autonomous with strong root cause analysis and troubleshooting skills.
  • Bilingual with excellent English oral and written communication skills.
