Electrical Engineer Role

The primary objective of this Electrical Engineer position is to work in conjunction with the project team to design, develop, and install complex systems. This role will involve collaborating closely with the Automation Controls Director and other key stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Developing and designing systems under the supervision of the Automation & Controls Manager.
  • Configuring and programming PLCs and HMIs.
  • Contributing to the project planning process and assessing project timelines.
  • Responsible for end-to-end testing, downloading programming, starting up, commissioning, and servicing assigned projects.
  • Testing and troubleshooting HVAC system controls during commissioning and factory acceptance tests.
  • Supporting Field Engineers during start-up and commissioning activities.
  • Updating AutoCAD control panel drawings and wiring diagrams under the supervision of the Automation & Controls Director.
  • Reading and interpreting control sequence logic from control philosophy documents.
  • Ensuring system sensors and transmitters are calibrated correctly.
  • Occasionally traveling to plant installations and working with customers during start-up and commissioning activities.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or Instrumentation.
  • 5 years of experience in Electrical Engineering.
  • Experience drawing panel layouts using AutoCAD Electrical.
  • Proficiency with various PLC and Industrial Control Systems.
  • Experience with PLC programming and implementation (Siemens TIA Portal and Logo Controller, Beijer).
  • Strong root cause analysis and troubleshooting skills in automation.
  • Bilingual with excellent English oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to travel up to 15%.
