Job Role Overview:

We are seeking a seasoned financial professional to join our team as a Senior Financial Analyst.

This key role is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial records, leading monthly reporting initiatives, and delivering actionable insights to inform business decisions.

The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

  • Lead monthly financial reporting, including journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis.
  • Prepare and analyze financial statements, budgets, and forecasts to support informed decision-making.
  • Investigate discrepancies and recommend corrective actions to maintain financial controls.
  • Enhance internal reporting processes and develop analytical tools to drive business performance.
  • Collaborate with accounting staff to provide guidance on financial procedures and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Evaluate business initiatives from a financial perspective, providing strategic recommendations to optimize resource allocation.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Commerce, or Accounting.
  • 3-5 years of experience in financial reporting or accounting, preferably in a fast-paced environment.
  • CPA designation or progress toward one is an asset.
  • Experience with internal reporting and budgeting practices in a private enterprise.
  • Strong Excel skills; Power BI experience is a plus.
  • Knowledge of Great Plains and Management Reporter would be considered an asset.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • A positive and creative approach to problem-solving.
