Role Overview
">- This is an exciting opportunity to form part of a multi-disciplinary team, responsible for providing high-quality, person-centred care to individuals accessing our mental health service.
Duties and Responsibilities:
">- Provide specialist mental health services, including crisis response and short to medium term episodes of care to meet the mental health needs of individuals accessing our service.
- Prescribe medications in accordance with the consumer care plan and within scope of practice.
- Provision of brief evidence-based psychological interventions and therapeutic management for individuals and groups.
- Provide support and advice to family members, significant others, healthcare professionals and support staff as appropriate.
- Liaise with referring organisations, including developing referral pathways with local General Practices and other health services.
Requirements:
">- A qualified and experienced Nurse Practitioner (endorsed Mental Health) with a current annual practicing certificate from the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency.
- A Master of Nursing (Nurse Practitioner) and be currently credentialed as a Prescriber Number & Credentialed status with the Australian College of Mental Health Nurses (ACMHN).
- Demonstrated clinical competence as per the national competency standards for Nurse Practitioners and experience as a Mental Health Nurse Practitioner.
