We're here to Stride.About the service:Safe Space is a fantastic program that provides a safe, welcoming and supportive environment for people experiencing psychological distress, allowing them to:Identify alternatives to presenting to the Emergency Department for low risk individualsAccess support from trained mental health professionals within their community, outside a clinical setting.On offer:Based in Caboolture, QLDPart time (0.8FTE), fixed-term opportunity until 30/11/2025Paying on HPSS Level 3 (above award payment for highly experienced clinicians) plus SuperSalary Packaging options (up to $15,899 tax free)Meals and entertainment allowance of up to $2,650
Leave loading at 17.5%Stride Rewards - access to discounts from 100s of retailers (fashion, food and fitness)One paid wellbeing leave day per yearPurchase up to 5 additional leave days in a 12-month period (pro rata entitlement if part-time)Paid parental leave supportSupportive team environmentExcellent training and career developmentRole Overview:As part of the multidisciplinary team, the Clinician will provide focused psychological strategies tailored to meet the individual needs of people accessing the service within a community based mental health care setting.
As well as working with relevant service systems to respond appropriately to their mental health and developmental needs.Provide comprehensive assessment, brief and ongoing interventions, risk management and care planningWork collaboratively across health service networks to plan and coordinate individualised psychosocial interventions to meet the needs of people with mental health issues based on a case formulation approachWork cooperatively and effectively through active participation within the multidisciplinary mental health team, the profession specific network and with consumers, families/carers and extended agenciesRequirements:Must have one of the following: General AHPRA registration as a Psychologist, Clinical Psychologist, Mental Health Occupational Therapist OR Mental Health Nurse OR AASW registration as an Accredited Mental Health Social WorkerDemonstrated a comprehensive level of knowledge, expertise and skill; specifically, Brief Intervention Models of Care Commitment to professional development and willingness to participate in a continuous learning environmentWell-developed judgment and evaluation skills demonstrating a working understanding assessment and care planningSound understanding of the public, non-government and private mental health systems and programs and associated non-mental health programs in a community settingIdeally demonstrated experience in providing alcohol and other drugs (AOD) counselling and supportDemonstrated interpersonal skills showing an ability and sensitivity to work with people who have or are at risk of developing a mental illnessProven ability to work creatively, collaboratively and effectively as a member of a teamDemonstrated skills in organisation and time-management, including the ability to work under pressure and balance multiple tasksExcellent verbal communication and writing skillsMust be eligible to apply/currently hold a Blue CardMust hold/be willing to apply for NDIS worker screening clearanceStride is committed to the safeguarding of children and vulnerable people.
