Community Mental Health Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Mental Health Specialist to join our multidisciplinary team. As part of this role, you will work closely with individuals and families to provide comprehensive assessment, brief and ongoing interventions, risk management and care planning.
">About the ServiceThe Medicare Mental Health Centre provides a safe, welcoming and supportive environment for people experiencing psychological distress. This centre offers an alternative to presenting to the Emergency Department for low-risk individuals, allowing them to access support from trained mental health professionals within their community.
">Key Responsibilities- Provide focused psychological strategies tailored to meet the individual needs of people accessing the service.
- Work collaboratively across health service networks to plan and coordinate individualised psychosocial interventions.
- Participate in a continuous learning environment and stay up-to-date with the latest developments in mental health services.
To be successful in this role, you will need to have one of the following registrations: General AHPRA registration as a Psychologist, Clinical Psychologist, Mental Health Occupational Therapist or Mental Health Nurse, or AASW registration as an Accredited Mental Health Social Worker.
