Role Summary:

This role oversees governance, corporate risk management, and compliance functions at a regional level. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing effective risk frameworks to ensure the organization’s sustainability.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Developing and maintaining enterprise risk management (ERM) frameworks, including business continuity and disaster recovery plans
  • Leading the Audit, Risk & Improvement Committee (ARIC) and overseeing statutory compliance obligations
  • Managing the organization’s insurance portfolio and high-level claims
  • Providing strategic advice on governance and risk management to executive staff, managers, and councillors
  • Leading and mentoring a team to develop a strong, values-based culture
  • Ensuring Freedom of Information (FOI) and Privacy matters are managed in accordance with legislation
