Residential Manager Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Residential Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations and management of our medium-sized residential aged care facility in Townsville, QLD.

This role is ideal for clinical leaders who are looking for a new challenge or those seeking to transition from another area within the region.

The successful candidate will have a proven track record in operations, achieving financial targets, implementing standards and procedures, and promoting team productivity.

  • Main Responsibilities:
  • Delivering high-quality person-centred care
  • Maximising revenue and maintaining accreditation standards

The Residential Manager will be responsible for:

  • Day-to-day operations and management of the service
  • Maintaining occupancy levels through community engagement
  • Finance and HR management
  • Motivating, training, and developing team members
  • Ensuring compliance and quality indicators meet industry standards

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • AHPRA Registered Nurse registration with previous leadership experience
  • Staff mentorship and development experience
  • Up-to-date knowledge of accreditation standards
  • Ability to identify and improve clinical risk and quality guidelines
  • Budget and finance management experience
