About the role

Hospital in Your Home is seeking an experienced Personal Care Worker to join our team in Townsville, QLD. This part-time role is essential in providing high-quality, personalised in-home care services to our aged care clients. As a Personal Care Worker, you will support our clients' wellbeing and independence, helping them to remain living in their own homes.

What you'll be doing

  • Assisting clients with personal care activities such as bathing, grooming, and dressing
  • Providing support with mobility, including transferring and ambulating clients
  • Preparing and serving meals, and supporting clients with feeding as needed
  • Performing light housekeeping duties such as laundry, cleaning, and tidying
  • Monitoring clients' health and wellbeing, and reporting any concerns to the care team
  • Engaging clients in social activities and providing companionship
  • Adhering to all safety and care protocols to ensure the highest standards of client care

What we're looking for

  • A Certificate III in Individual Support (Aged Care) or equivalent qualification
  • At least 12 months' experience working as a Personal Care Worker in an aged care or in-home care setting
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients
  • A caring, empathetic, and patient approach to supporting older adults
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • A current Driver's Licence and reliable vehicle
  • A passion for making a positive difference in the lives of our clients
