Job Description

The role of a senior settlements professional is to oversee daily settlement operations, guide team members, and drive process improvements that enhance accuracy, efficiency, and client satisfaction.

  • Oversee settlements for over-the-counter (OTC), derivatives, and structured products.
  • Ensure settlement processes are accurate, timely, and compliant with regulatory requirements.
  • Act as an escalation point for complex settlement issues and provide guidance on resolution.
  • Support and mentor junior staff to develop their skills and capabilities.
  • Reconcile trades, investigate discrepancies, and resolve issues promptly.
  • Collaborate with clients, counterparties, and internal teams to resolve issues and improve relationships.
  • Maintain and improve standard operating procedures (SOPs), service level agreements (SLAs), and risk controls.
  • Drive process improvements, automation, and better reporting to optimize operational efficiency.
Requirements
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in settlements, trading operations, middle office, or treasury (financial, FX, or crypto).
  • Solid understanding of settlement processes, reconciliations, and risk controls.
  • Experience in crypto markets, blockchain settlements, or wallet management is an advantage.
  • Proven ability to drive process improvements and implement change.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
