Support children and young people in their journey of growth and development by providing a safe, supportive, and nurturing environment.
Build meaningful relationships with families and work collaboratively to ensure the best possible outcomes for all involved.
Key Responsibilities- Assess and support the needs of children and young people in out-of-home care.
- Develop and implement individualised care plans tailored to each child's unique needs.
- Provide emotional support and guidance to help children cope with difficult situations.
- Collaborate with other professionals and services to ensure a comprehensive approach to supporting children and families.
- Conduct home visits and provide on-site support to foster carers and kinship caregivers.
- Relevant degree in social work, psychology, or related field - or equivalent experience.
- Strong understanding of child protection principles and legislation.
- Skilled in trauma-informed practice and able to provide emotional support and guidance.
- Knowledge of the challenges faced by Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities and ability to work respectfully and inclusively.
- Current driver's licence, National Police Check, Working with Children (Blue Card) and Licensed Care Service (Child Protection).
