Child and Family Advocate Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate practitioner to provide specialist advice and support in the area of domestic and family violence.
- Provide expert guidance to team members and clients on screening for domestic and family violence, where required.
- Collaborate with lead practitioners to conduct comprehensive assessments at key points throughout a family's engagement with our services.
- Participate in case consultations, offering recommendations on risk and safety implications.
- Offer advice and support to team members and enquirers on safe engagement strategies for families affected by domestic and family violence.
- A tertiary degree in a relevant discipline (allied health, social work, human services).
- Safe and Together accreditation or willingness to complete the required modules.
- At least 5 years of experience working with children and families.
- At least 3 years of experience in a domestic and family violence capacity (generalist role, women's service, behaviour change programs, therapeutic interventions).
- Experience and knowledge of domestic and family violence issues, including theory, dynamics, and impact on children and families.
Eligibility for a Working with Children Check or professional exemption, current driver's licence, and legally able to work in Australia.
