Software Testing Lead Role

Job Overview

This position entails leading a global team of test engineers focused on verifying and validating safety-critical systems.

  • The role involves developing and implementing test strategies, plans, and methodologies aligned with relevant industry standards and regulations.
  • Key responsibilities include overseeing test design, automation, execution, and defect management for embedded and application-level software.
  • Validation of safety-related software components, including hardware-software integration testing, is also a critical aspect of this role.
  • The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing test automation tools, continuous integration/continuous testing (CI/CT) pipelines, and metrics dashboards to ensure efficient and effective testing processes.

Requirements

Applicants should possess tertiary qualifications in Software Engineering and a minimum of 10 years' experience in software testing, including at least 5 years in a leadership role.

  • Extensive experience in testing safety-critical systems, as well as expertise in embedded systems, control software, and safety validation, is highly desirable.
  • Strong background in test management and requirement tools, such as DOORS, Polarion, Jira, and ALM, is essential.
  • Proficiency in test automation, CI/CD, and safety validation tools, as well as knowledge of model-based testing – HIL and SIL testing environments – are also required.
