Job Title: Innovation Lead

We're seeking an exceptional leader to drive the strategic evolution of our software engineering capability. As a pivotal senior leadership role, this position will champion innovation, excellence, and transformation across the enterprise.

About the Opportunity:

This role leads the development and implementation of cutting-edge technologies, collaborating with AP Labs on technical innovation, research, and emerging technologies. You'll drive the use of AI and automation across the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), from requirements gathering and design to testing, deployment, and maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and mentor a large multidisciplinary team of software engineers, promoting best practices, continuous learning, and a culture of excellence.
  • Define and govern engineering patterns, practices, systems, and tools to ensure consistency, quality, and efficiency across all software development teams.
  • Provide thought leadership in software engineering, driving the adoption of modern CI/CD pipelines and developer tools.
  • Oversee the design, development, and deployment of software applications and shared platforms, ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture, security standards, and business requirements.
  • Monitor and optimise software performance, reliability, and scalability, while managing technical debt and legacy system modernisation.
  • Establish metrics and KPIs to measure engineering productivity, quality, and innovation, reporting on progress to executive leadership.
