About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Assistant Manager to oversee the daily operations of the hotel, ensuring all departments work towards the same goals. Primarily focusing on F&B day-to-day operations, you will also oversee other departments, support and inspire team members, and provide exceptional customer service.
- Assist the General Manager in overseeing daily operations and ensuring departments work towards common goals.
- Focus on F&B day-to-day operations while overseeing other departments.
- Support and inspire team members in all departments.
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent service.
- Directly support the F&B management team to ensure smooth operation of all outlets, including conferencing.
- Assist the F&B team with stock control and ordering as required.
- Support the Front Office Team with daily tasks.
- Oversight and control of various aspects of the hotel's accounts, including A/R, weekly banking, and cash control.
- Provide on-site coverage in the General Manager's absence, including weekends.
- Maintain a relationship with hotel owners.
- Lead, recruit, train, motivate, and coach a high-performing team.
- Report on business performance, sales, new initiatives, and relevant issues.
- Stay up-to-date on new products, services, and industry trends.

Requirements
We are looking for a career-minded hospitality professional with experience in a similar role or a willingness to step up into a challenge. You should have knowledge of Opera PMS & Micros, a passion for Food & Beverage, and valid RSA certification. Strong leadership skills, excellent customer service, and communication skills are essential, as well as a solid grasp of hotel accounts processes and good decision-making and commercial savvy.
