Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled project estimator to join our team. This role will play a critical part in the estimation and delivery of complex projects, working closely with cross-functional teams to achieve project goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop detailed cost estimates for capital work programs and projects, incorporating regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Collaborate with the Cost Intelligence Manager and Estimating Team to ensure estimates meet project requirements and standards.
  • Present estimates to project sponsors, conducting line-by-line reviews and fully explaining assumptions and exclusions.
  • Manage Requests for Information (RFIs) to document and address questions during the estimation process.
  • Participate in Estimating Kick-Off meetings and collaborate with the team to define the estimation process.

About the Projects:

The company delivers Major Projects that are technically complex, often exceeding $50 million in value. These projects require specialist skills to address a range of technical and stakeholder challenges. Work includes large-scale infrastructure and renewable energy initiatives, such as clean hydrogen energy projects.

Requirements:

  • Demonstrated experience in preparing detailed cost estimates for large-scale projects.
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent communication skills to present and explain estimates effectively.
  • Ability to collaborate in a team environment and work under supervision.
  • Familiarity with industry-standard estimation methodologies and tools.
