About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Full Stack Developer to join our team at Black6. As a key member of our development team, you will play a crucial role in advancing our mission to deliver advanced simulation technology to our clients in the defence and training sectors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and maintain high-quality software applications using a range of programming languages and frameworks.
  • Collaborate closely with colleagues to identify and prioritize project requirements, and to develop and implement solutions.
  • Work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of new technologies and tools to improve our software development processes.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to junior team members, and participate in code reviews and quality assurance activities.
Requirements
  • 3+ years of experience in Full Stack development, with a strong background in JavaScript, HTML/CSS, and PostgreSQL.
  • Experience with NodeJS, Electron or Tauri, and React or Svelte (or another mainstream framework).
  • Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and experience working in teams of mixed disciplines.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in a dynamic team environment.
  • Must have, or be capable of attaining, at least a Baseline security clearance (or equivalent clearance, recognised by the Australian Government, for non-Australian citizens).
Desirable Skills
  • CSS Framework, particularly Tailwind CSS.
  • JavaScript Unit and E2E testing.
  • Proficiency in Python.
  • Familiar with ISO9001 Quality Management System.
