Job Overview

The role of Technical Support Officer involves ensuring high-quality, safe services and workplaces by adhering to defined service quality standards, health and safety policies, and procedures.

  • Key responsibilities include performing general technical support activities, such as equipment receipt, packing, dispatch, pick-up, and delivery (driving required).
  • Assist biomedical technicians in providing repairs, planned maintenance, installation/de-installation, and other services for a wide range of electronic and/or mechanical health technology equipment.
  • Effective communication with colleagues, management, clients, and other stakeholders is crucial.
  • Compliance with relevant procedures, policies, regulations, and standards, including the Code of Conduct for Queensland Public Service and contemporary human resource management requirements.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, applicants must possess strong communication and numeracy skills, as well as adequate literacy and computer skills to order and receive goods, process delivery documents, work orders, and accurately enter information into computer databases.

  • Current C Class Driver's License is mandatory.
  • Travel, shift rostering, and on-call requirements may involve transferring to another work location, participating in 24-hour shift arrangements, on-call, and weekend rosters, occasional overtime, and traveling throughout Queensland for periods of up to approximately two weeks at a time.
