Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Market Data Engineer to join our team at Westbury Partners. As a Market Data Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, building, and enhancing high-performance computing market data pipelines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Acquire, verify, and optimize real-time market data for a leading prop-trading firm.
  • Design and build high-performance computing market data pipelines.
  • Work with traders, back-office teams, infrastructure/technology specialists, and software developers to deliver market data and analytics.
  • Collaborate with the team to deliver mission-critical business initiatives.

Requirements:

  • Fluency in Python development with 3-5 years of experience.
  • Experience building and maintaining high-performance computing pipelines.
  • Understanding of Linux OS and filesystems, including network and system configuration, kernel internals, scheduling, and performance tuning.
  • Understanding of networking concepts, including routing, multicast, LLDP, and ethernet.
  • Polished communication and interpersonal skills, along with a can-do attitude.
  • Bachelor's, master's, or Ph.D. level degree in computer science or mathematics.
  • A history of good tenure in your career history (e.g., 4+ years average).
  • Industry experience in banking, financial markets, proprietary, or high-frequency trading.
