Speech Therapist Opportunity

Our organization is a leading national allied health provider to the aged care, community and disability sectors.

Our team of Speech Pathologists is passionate about delivering high-quality services to clients living with dementia, Parkinson's disease, post-stroke, progressive neurological disorders and ageing-related decline.

  • We seek an adult-servicing Speech Therapist to join our mobile clinic team.
  • The ideal candidate will assess and diagnose swallowing and communication difficulties in adults living in residential aged care facilities and the local community.
  • We support recent graduates and experienced clinicians alike.

You will work closely with our state-based Speech Therapy Team Lead to provide high-quality services and have access to extensive resources and internal clinical supervision.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Managing your calendar of appointments with flexibility to choose work hours and locations that suit you.
  • Assessing and diagnosing clients' swallowing and communication difficulties.
  • Potential for national travel to support clients in regional locations.
  • Providing telehealth-based dysphagia and/or communication assessment and intervention.
  • Liaising with our close-knit national team of Speech Therapists.
  • Advocating for support for clients with communication difficulties.
  • Working closely with organisational staff, support coordinators and colleagues to ensure optimum care needs are met.
  • Providing consultative and educational support to clients, their families and colleagues.
