About the Project Engineer Role

We are seeking an experienced Project Engineer to join our team on a high-rise construction project. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating and administering construction engineering activities, including site budget preparation and reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and administer construction engineering activities.
  • Assist with site construction budget preparation and reports.
  • Monitor construction progress and report to the Site Manager or Project Manager.
  • Interpret designs for implementation in construction projects.
  • Contribute to design improvements.
  • Arrange and oversee tender letting.
  • Demonstrate financial management skills and commercial acumen when making decisions.
  • Assign work and assist with reviews.
  • Implement knowledge of contractual and legislative requirements relevant to the project.
  • Undertake quantitative and qualitative safety, environment, and quality risk assessments.
  • Analyse and use document and record management, progress, and project performance reporting.
  • Manage subcontractor work and performance effectively.
  • Utilize effective time management skills, including sequencing work and resource time management.

Requirements:

  • Commercial high-rise experience is essential.
  • A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, Building Construction, or equivalent is required.
  • The ideal candidate will have significant demonstrated experience in a Site or Project Engineering role.
  • Knowledge of project management structure, plans, specifications, standards, and implications for project accountabilities is necessary.
  • An understanding of Project Design, Quality, Safety, and Environmental Management Plans is also required.
  • Pre-contracts knowledge in relation to design, planning, and legislative requirements is necessary.
