We are seeking an experienced aged care professional to join our care team in Canberra, Australia.
The role will involve advising and assisting care staff to provide tailored care that meets the needs and preferences of residents. The position reports to the Care Manager, offering attractive conditions, salary sacrifice options, and a chance to work with a reputable not-for-profit organisation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure high-quality care is delivered to residents through effective coordination and delivery of care plans.
- Supervise and assist other care employees to maintain a supportive team environment.
- Build strong partnerships with residents, respecting their dignity and focusing on their health and wellbeing.
- Work collaboratively with the team to coordinate and deliver complex clinical care, including wound dressing, medication administration, condition assessments, and referrals.
- Evaluate and maintain care plans to meet changing resident needs.
Required Qualifications and Skills:
- Registered Nurse DIV 1 - AHPRA Registered
- 2+ years previous experience in Aged Care (desirable)
- Proficient computer skills and working knowledge of iCare (desirable)
- Understanding of WHS responsibilities, including manual handling principles
- Knowledge of Aged Care Legislation, Accreditation, and ANACC will be highly regarded
- Current First Aid Certificate
- Valid police check clearance
- Must be eligible to work in Australia
