Early Childhood Development Specialist

The Torres and Cape Hospital and Health Service is seeking an experienced Early Childhood Development Specialist to join their team. As a specialist in this field, you will play a vital role in delivering family-centred, culturally responsive services to children aged 0–9 with developmental delay or disability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work as part of a supportive team to deliver high-quality services to families and children.
  • Support children to reach their full potential through early intervention and capacity building.
  • Collaborate with families, educators, and community partners to provide assessment and support.
  • Travel to remote Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities to provide services.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Experience in early childhood development and disability.
  • Willingness and enthusiasm to travel regularly to remote areas.
  • Commitment to culturally safe and family-centred practice.
