Job Title: Child Development Professional

Job Description:

As a key member of our team, you will provide early intervention services to support children with developmental delays or disabilities and their families. You will work collaboratively with the Everyday Independence team to break down barriers and reveal children's true abilities.

  • Develop and coordinate individualized plans that reflect strengths-based and family-centered approaches
  • Deliver supports that lead to positive outcomes for children and families using a transdisciplinary approach
  • Assess and communicate the child's development and progress to stakeholders
  • Facilitate a network of supporters around the child to promote participation in family, community, and cultural activities
  • Ensure that all supports are clearly documented, coordinated, and communicated to families and internal stakeholders
  • Meet the responsibilities of your role, including achieving positive outcomes with children and families, contributing to the team, and meeting performance indicators
  • Demonstrate the values of our organization
Day-to-Day Activities:

You may perform tasks such as:

  • Conducting initial consultations at a family's home to understand their needs and goals
  • Providing therapy at preschools to support children's motor skill development
  • Supporting parents to find schools that cater to their child's needs
  • Collaborating with speech pathologists and family members to enhance communication and social skills
  • Accessing training and mentoring opportunities to grow your expertise and skills
  • Participating in regular team meetings to contribute ideas and solutions
  • Engaging with colleagues and attending social events
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A relevant professional qualification, such as AHPRA registration or a Bachelor's degree in Social Work
  • A passion for providing high-quality support to children and families
  • Excellent listening and problem-solving skills
  • The drive to deliver impactful outcomes for children and families
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic environment
  • A commitment to continuous learning and professional development
  • The ability to obtain necessary clearances and certifications
  • A valid driver's license
