Academic Expert in Psychology

This is a full time continuing position at an Academic C classification with the annual salary range of $129,435 - $149,246, plus 17% superannuation.
The role of the Senior Lecturer will contribute to teaching and research within the Psychology Discipline.
Academic supervision of students undertaking research will be a feature of this role, as will the development and implementation of innovative teaching methods which align with contemporary practice.
Some of the duties you may perform are:
- Develop and implement high quality and innovative teaching materials and practices.
- Contribute to the student experience in programs as required including course convening, unit convening and industry relationships.
- Participate in professional development activities and undertake scholarly review of teaching methods and practices.
- Identify, assess, prioritise and control risks to the health and safety of staff, students, visitors and contractors to the environment arising from the operation of the area under their responsibility, and ensure that a safe system of work is developed and followed through appropriate training, supervision and monitoring in line with the annual OH&S Plan.
About You:
You will be expected to hold a PhD in Psychology and have experience teaching at the tertiary level, with a commitment to excellence and innovation in curriculum development and delivery.
Expertise in one of the following areas of teaching and/or practice is desired, but not essential: Counselling Psychology, Health Psychology, Clinical Psychology, Developmental Psychology, Personality, Social Psychology, Relationships.
You will have a demonstrated record of peer reviewed publications and/or successful funding at the national or international level.
Registration as a psychologist with endorsement in an area of practice (or pathway towards endorsement) is also desired, but not essential for this position.
