The successful candidate will operate within the North Region Water Planning Team, collaboratively developing water plans across catchments for sustainable water management.
- Draft policy papers and recommendations for water plan development, supporting instruments, and other water planning documents in accordance with Queensland Water Act requirements.
- Perform technical reviews to inform water management solutions and policies, liaising with technical experts from various disciplines.
- Conduct desktop research, data collection, interpretation, and analysis to inform water management and policy issues.
- Assist with consultations with internal and external stakeholders.
- Analyze and interpret existing national and state government strategies, policies, and legislation related to sustainable water management.
