
Water Infrastructure Specialist

About the role: We are seeking a skilled Plumber to join our team as part of our Facilities operations at Ernest Henry Mining.
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality plumbing services that are vital to the ongoing success of the mine site. This includes maintaining and repairing water supply and sewerage systems, operating and maintaining sewer and water treatment plants, and performing routine inspections and preventative maintenance.
To excel in this role, you will need to have a current Queensland Plumbing Licence and Gas Fitting Licence, along with a manual driver's licence. Additional tickets such as Forklift, EWP, Confined Space, and Working at Heights are highly regarded.
You will bring experience in water and sewerage plant operation, backflow prevention, and broad building maintenance. You must be safety-focused, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently in remote environments.

Key responsibilities include:
- Installing, maintaining, and repairing water supply and sewerage systems across village, mine site (non-operational areas), and town housing
- Operating and maintaining sewer and water treatment plants
- Maintaining and servicing commercial kitchen gas appliances
- Performing routine inspections and preventative maintenance
- Diagnosing faults and complete timely repairs to minimise service disruption
- Maintaining accurate service and inspection records
- Ensuring all work complies with relevant codes, standards, and site safety procedures
- Coordinating with other trades and departments for integrated maintenance
- Upholding a clean and hazard-free work environment
- Supporting emergency response activities (manual driver's licence required)
- Requirement to be on call on a rotating roster
