Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct water planning activities within a region, coordinating input from multidisciplinary teams and delivering outputs aligned with water planning functions and business objectives.
  • Draft policy papers and recommendations for water plan development, supporting instruments, and other water planning documents in accordance with the requirements of the Queensland Water Act 2000.
  • Perform technical reviews to inform water management solutions and policies, liaising with technical experts from various disciplines.
  • Undertake desktop research, data collection, interpretation, and analysis to inform water management and policy issues.
  • Assist with consultations with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Prepare policy papers, briefing notes, and other correspondence as needed.
  • Analyze and interpret existing national and state government strategies, policies, and legislation related to sustainable water management.
  • Support a positive team culture by sharing information and supporting team members.
