Job Description

This role involves developing comprehensive water plans across catchments to ensure effective and efficient water management practices.

  • Conduct thorough water planning activities within a designated region, coordinating input from multidisciplinary teams and delivering outputs aligned with business objectives and water planning functions.
  • Develop policy papers and recommendations for water plan development, supporting instruments, and other relevant water planning documents in accordance with relevant regulations.
  • Perform technical reviews to inform water management solutions and policies, collaborating with experts from various disciplines.
  • Undertake detailed research, data collection, interpretation, and analysis to inform water management and policy issues.
  • Provide support during consultations with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Prepare policy papers, briefing notes, and other correspondence as needed.
  • Analyze and interpret existing national and state government strategies, policies, and legislation related to sustainable water management.
