The Employer Partnerships Team plays a pivotal role in shaping employment pathways for veterans and partners, often extending beyond traditional roles, by:
- Engaging with employers nationally to source and co-create tailored employment opportunities for clients
- Educating employers on the unique value veterans and their partners bring to the workforce
- Building strong networks and community relationships to expand reach and impact
- Developing program frameworks and business processes to ensure a consistent and professional service for employers, stakeholders, and clients
- Collaborating with internal specialists to identify, secure, and nurture employer partnerships across diverse sectors
This is more than a placement role – it's about creating long-term, sustainable pathways and transforming how industry connects with veteran talent.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the next phase of the Employer Partnerships Team within the greater Vocational Program
- Develop and implement strategies to engage employers and create tailored employment opportunities for veterans and partners
- Build and maintain strong relationships with employers, stakeholders, and community leaders
- Collaborate with internal specialists to develop and improve business processes and services
- Represent the organization at events and forums to promote employer partnerships and services
- A collaborative mindset and strong team orientation, with a genuine commitment to making a meaningful impact in the lives of veterans and their families
- Proven ability to take initiative, drive results, and self-motivate, especially in dynamic and evolving environments
- Confidence in networking and building a strong presence across the Defence and Veteran community, including the ability to educate and influence employers and industry
- Depth of experience in business development, stakeholder, and customer relationship management, with a strategic approach to creating non-traditional employment pathways
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, enabling effective collaboration with internal specialists and external stakeholders
- A focus on quality stakeholder/client case management and recordkeeping
- Understanding of the ADF environment and its unique sensitivities, ensuring culturally informed engagement
- Flexibility to work across broad geographical areas, including intra- and interstate travel
- Availability to participate in events and forums outside standard hours, including weekends when required
- A completed tertiary qualification in Business, HR, or a related field
- A current, unrestricted driver's licence
- Experience within the Defence or community sector will make your application even more competitive
