Career Development Specialist

A career development specialist is required to lead the operational aspects of delivering a community careers project based in Pialba, Queensland. The specialist will oversee the recruitment of participants, non-accredited work readiness training, and project reporting. They will work closely with a registered training organisation partner to deliver accredited training and provide personalised support for participants.
The core focus of this project is to support participants on their journey to sustainable employment by helping them gain nationally recognised skills and vocational qualifications.
About the Role
This role involves supporting participants with diverse personal and social issues and direct barriers to employment. You will also be responsible for working within a team to develop a culture aligned with our mission and values. This includes creating individual training and personal development support plans for participants to enhance their opportunities to complete training and access employment.
Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include facilitating the provision of personal development activities as determined by individual plans. These activities aim to develop vocational and employability skills and empower participants. You will liaise with partner RTOs and local employers to maximise employment and training outcomes. Additionally, you will undertake and maintain accurate documentation, including case notes, report writing, and program data collection as required.
