Risk and Compliance Professional

We are seeking a Risk and Compliance Professional to drive a strong risk culture and oversee internal processes and procedures.

This role involves managing compliance risks across the firm, including AML / CTF, AFSL, ACL, and CAANZ. The ideal candidate will provide training and support on risk & compliance matters, monitor incidents, breaches, and complaints, and embed controls in collaboration with the Executive Team.

As a Risk and Compliance Professional, you will work closely with our Head of Risk & Compliance to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and standards. You will also offer guidance on legislative and regulatory changes that impact the company's compliance obligations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and mitigate compliance risks across the firm, ensuring adherence to relevant laws and regulations.
  • Develop and deliver training programs to enhance staff knowledge and skills in risk management and compliance.
  • Monitor and investigate incidents, breaches, and complaints, and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to embed effective controls and improve overall risk posture.

Requirements for this role include tertiary degree qualifications in law, commerce, economics, finance, or a related field. Minimum of 2 years' experience in a Compliance-based position in the financial services industry is required. Experience with AML/CTF, AFSL, and ACL licensing requirements is highly regarded, as well as working with ASIC.
