The Opportunity

Hitachi Construction Machinery is seeking a skilled Sales and Service Professional to join our team in the Canberra and Riverina region. This role will involve selling market-leading products and services across the range of Hitachi and Bell products.

Your Responsibilities

  • Establish and maintain successful working relationships with customers
  • Visit customer sites to conduct machine inspections and determine suitable rectifications to customer issues
  • Promote the Hitachi range of parts and services to achieve budgeted sales targets
  • Identify areas for business growth and develop strategies to generate additional parts and service sales
  • Accurately and timely report key customer information
  • Ensure all interactions with customers and internal stakeholders are conducted professionally and requests are followed up as required

Requirements

  • Demonstrated service sales or parts interpreting experience within the Mining, Construction, or Earthmoving industry
  • A genuine desire to deliver Hitachi's promise of Total Customer Satisfaction through developing and maintaining positive relationships with customers
  • A motivated and ambitious commitment to meet and exceed sales targets
  • Strategic and analytical capability to assess value, including the use of CRM
  • Confident, courteous, and professional communication and presentation skills
  • Self-motivated and able to work autonomously, with a current driver's license
