About the Role

The organization is a leading dealership in the sale and service of heavy commercial trucks, trailers, agricultural and construction machinery.

This position is responsible for supervising the pre-delivery team, carrying out pre-delivery services and fit-up jobs, and assisting in the effective operation of the Pre-Delivery Department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and educate the pre-delivery team on correct workplace processes and procedures.
  • Act as liaison between the service office and the floor.
  • Liaise with Sales and the Parts Department to deliver desired outcomes.
  • Inspect and sign off jobs to ensure all work is carried out to the manufacturers' requirements.
  • Carry out pre-delivery services.
  • Provide exceptional and professional customer service.
  • Ensure the workshop is kept clean and tidy and that safe work practices are being followed.

Requirements:

  • Experience in a similar role at a truck or machinery dealership.
  • Truck mechanic qualification or any other relevant qualification.
  • Leadership experience and strong leadership skills.
  • Problem-solving, teamwork, excellent communication, and organizational skills.
  • Customer-focused with strong customer service skills.
  • Diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
  • Quality workmanship.
