Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Water Infrastructure Operations Manager to lead our Operational Technology (OT) team within the Digital and Transformation Group.

This role will be responsible for the delivery and support of real-time operational systems, ensuring the safe, reliable, and efficient delivery of water services across our catchment area.

About the Role
  • Lead the 24/7 operations of our network control centre, overseeing the monitoring, control, and optimisation of network performance through SCADA, telemetry, IoT, and digital systems.
  • Manage a high-performing team of operators and technical specialists, providing guidance and support to ensure excellent service delivery.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify opportunities for improvement, implement changes, and monitor progress.
Requirements
  • 5-10 years' experience in operations management within utilities, energy, or critical infrastructure.
  • Tertiary qualification in Engineering, IT, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience).
  • Strong knowledge of SCADA, telemetry, IoT, or similar control systems.
  • Proven leadership in managing 24/7 or shift-based teams.
  • Experience in water industry operations and regulatory frameworks.
  • Familiarity with digital transformation, predictive analytics, or smart infrastructure.
  • Track record in incident management and emergency response.
  • ITIL certification and an understanding of hydraulic systems.
