With a strong understanding of electrical infrastructure and electronic equipment, you will be responsible for inspecting, testing, and maintaining fire systems and associated infrastructure in accordance with applicable standards.

You will work closely with operational and maintenance personnel to coordinate life safety system impairments as required for repairs, maintenance, and new installations.

This role requires a high level of technical expertise and attention to detail, as well as excellent communication and teamwork skills.

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual who can contribute to a culture of continuous improvement and support the implementation of initiatives and technical advancement.

Responsibilities:

  • Inspect, Test, and Maintain Fire Systems: Perform routine inspections and testing of fire systems and associated infrastructure to ensure compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
  • Repairs and Installation: Perform repairs and installation of associated fire systems and infrastructure, including programming of Notifier systems.
  • Coordination and Collaboration: Work with operational and maintenance personnel to coordinate life safety system impairments as required for repairs, maintenance, and new installations.
  • Technical Expertise: Develop and maintain a strong understanding of all relevant facilities infrastructure, equipment, and systems.

Requirements:

  • NICET II or III – Fire Alarm Systems: Possess a valid NICET certification in Fire Alarm Systems.
  • Strong Understanding of WHS Act and EHS Policies: Demonstrate a strong understanding of the WHS Act and EHS policies and procedures.
  • Facility Maintenance Experience: Have demonstrated experience working within facility maintenance or a similar technical environment.
  • Electrical Infrastructure Knowledge: Possess a strong understanding of electrical infrastructure and electronic equipment.
  • Facilities O&M Requirements: Understand facilities O&M requirements, including equipment maintenance requirements (preventive, predictive, and corrective).

Salary: The estimated salary for this role is $85,000 - $110,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
