Network Management and Configuration

The Leidos team is seeking an experienced Senior Network Engineer - Configuration Management to join our growing digital modernization sector.

About the Role:

  • Support the installation and maintenance of LAN/WAN devices, ensuring seamless network operations.
  • Create and maintain up-to-date records of system components, including hardware and software configurations.
  • Respond to and resolve incident tickets, guaranteeing minimal downtime and optimal network performance.
  • Evaluate and implement standard network change requests, aligning with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
  • Coordinate with external stakeholders across the ecosystem, fostering effective communication and collaboration.
  • Develop and maintain consistency in system or product performance, functions, and physical attributes, adhering to design and operational specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leverage advanced network analysis tools to identify and correct problems, maintaining detailed logs and records.
  • Configure and troubleshoot layer 2 switching (VLANs, Port Security, Thin Configs), ensuring secure and efficient network operations.
  • Provide support for network operations, maintenance, repairs, or upgrades, staying up-to-date with industry advancements.
  • Familiarize yourself with Layer 3 protocols (OSPF, BGP, VRRP, HSRP, MPLS, LSP, GRE) and various network management tools (NA, NNM, Riverbed, Microsoft Visio, ServiceNow).
  • Maintain the network configuration baselines, adhering to DISA STIG guidelines, and provide feedback to network engineers on new configurations.
  • Document and update historical Configuration Management records and knowledge in approved shared databases.
  • Collaborate with the Configuration Control Board, scheduling meetings, developing agendas, and managing board-related data in databases.
  • Possess drawing, diagramming, and network mapping expertise, providing support to the Configuration Management Team.

Requirements:

  • TS/SCI with Poly clearance required.
  • A minimum of 16 years of experience, combining work history and education (equivalent to a Doctorate and 8 years, Master's and 10 years, Bachelor's and 12 years, Associate's and 14 years, or HS Diploma and 16 years).
  • Compliance with Department of Defense (DoD) 8570 Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level 2.

Estimated Salary: $87,100.00 - $157,450.00 per year
