Capital Projects Management Professional

An exciting opportunity is available for a seasoned Capital Projects Management Professional to join our team at Entergy in Port Arthur, Texas, or Lake Charles, Louisiana.
About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced professional to lead large capital projects and programs with a segmentation rating of 3 or 4 (greater than $30 million). The successful candidate will be responsible for managing project development and delivery, ensuring cost and schedule objectives are met while achieving excellence in project safety and quality. This role requires strong leadership skills, excellent communication, and collaboration with cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Promote a safe working environment and ensure that all project activities adhere to safety protocols.
- Develop and execute project plans, including defining project organization structures, identifying technical skills required, and assigning appropriately skilled team members.
- Lead contract negotiations, manage contracts, and approve requisitions, change orders, and invoices as necessary.
- Coordinate project activities through the Entergy Stage Gate Process (SGP) and ensure that team members fulfill their responsibilities.
- Direct project teams, contribute to project deliverables, and coordinate efforts with project stakeholders and working groups.
- Monitor contractor performance and ensure compliance with contractual requirements.
- Manage project budgets, schedules, and resources to achieve project objectives.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field or equivalent work experience.
- 10+ years of experience in Generation, with at least 10 years of experience in large capital project management desired.
- Field experience preferred.
Preferred Qualifications:
- PMP Certification.
Compensation and Benefits:
The estimated annual salary for this position is between $120,000 and $180,000, depending on experience. Our comprehensive benefits package includes medical, dental, vision, life insurance, 401(k), and paid time off. We also offer opportunities for professional growth and development.
Working Conditions:
This is a full-time position requiring occasional travel (25% to 50%) and flexibility to work additional hours during emergencies or high-priority projects. Exempt employees may not receive overtime pay for additional duties.
