We are seeking a highly skilled Power Plant Operations Manager Lead to join our team at Entergy in Port Arthur, Texas. This is an exciting opportunity for individuals with a passion for leadership and operations management.
Job Summary
The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the safe and reliable operation of our power plant. This includes providing work direction to employees on same shift, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and maintaining a high level of safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Leadership and Guidance: Provide work direction to employees on same shift, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties safely and efficiently.
- Compliance and Regulatory Affairs: Ensure adherence to all relevant laws, regulations, and company policies, including OSHA, Environmental, and NERC/CIP requirements.
- Safety and Reliability: Maintain a strong focus on safety and reliability, identifying areas for improvement and implementing measures to mitigate risks.
- Communication and Collaboration: Foster effective communication and collaboration with team members, stakeholders, and external partners to achieve common goals.
- Problem-Solving and Decision-Making: Use analytical skills to identify and resolve complex problems, making informed decisions that align with company objectives.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; 2-year Process Technology Degree desirable.
- Experience: At least 5 years of power plant experience, preferably in operations; 10 years of experience desirable.
- Skills and Abilities: Strong knowledge of technology, computer use, and organizational skills; ability to communicate effectively and lead multiple activities.
