Job Summary

We are seeking a seasoned Capital Project Manager to oversee the development and delivery of large-scale projects in our Port Arthur, TX or Lake Charles, LA locations. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring projects are executed with cost and schedule certainty, while maintaining excellence in project safety and quality.

About the Role:

  • Promote safe behavior and adherence to safety rules on the project site.
  • Define the project organization structure and identify technical skills required to achieve project goals.
  • Develop and execute project plans in accordance with corporate standards, guidelines, and policies.
  • Direct project teams and contribute to the development of project deliverables, including contracting strategies, cost estimates, schedules, and risk registers.
  • Maintain effective communication with stakeholders, including contractors, consultants, and internal teams.
  • Serve as a Contract Manager for large EPC contracts and multiple supporting subcontracts.
  • Monitor contractor performance in project safety, scope, schedule, cost, quality of work, contract change requests, and compliance with contractual requirements.
  • Prepare regular project status reports for management and present project updates to business unit and corporate level executives.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • At least 10 years' experience in Generation, preferably in large capital project management.
  • Strong contract negotiation, conflict resolution, problem-solving, team building, interpersonal, and group communication skills.
  • Demonstrated history of Planning/Organization/Time Management skills and ability to influence and motivate others.
  • Experience with reviewing, executing, and managing large EPC contracts, and knowledge of processes and key performance indicators for capital projects process planning and asset management.
What We Offer

Location

This position is located in either Port Arthur, TX or Lake Charles, LA, with occasional travel required (up to 25% - 50%). We offer relocation assistance for eligible candidates.
