Job Summary
We are seeking a Claims Officer to join our Self-Insurance team in Darwin or Alice Springs. As a Claims Officer, you will deliver a proactive, empathetic, and organized claims management service to our key clients and support the return-to-work process for injured workers.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the first point of contact for injured workers, employers, medical practitioners, and other stakeholders regarding workplace injury claims.
- Drive the return-to-work process through proactive claims management services, including determining claims and injury management entitlements, scheduling appointments, and processing benefits/payments.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including Eligibility Officers, Return to Work Specialists, Injury Management Consultants, and Mental Health Consultants.
- Provide education to stakeholders regarding return-to-work processes and legislative obligations.
- Participate in regular claims reviews with key stakeholders.
About You
We are looking for a passionate and empathetic individual with experience in administration or customer service. A background in workers compensation, claims, or a related discipline is highly regarded.
