Greencross Vets, a leading integrated pet wellness organization, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Pet Grooming Specialist to join our team.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional grooming services to pets in our Petbarn salon. This includes managing a team of groomers, ensuring high-quality service delivery, and maintaining a safe and healthy environment for both pets and staff.

Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of groomers to deliver high-quality grooming services that meet customer expectations
  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the salon, including rostering, time management, and inventory control
  • Maintain a clean and hygienic working environment, adhering to company policies and procedures
  • Provide expert advice on pet grooming and care, recommending products and services to customers as needed
  • Develop and implement training programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of team members
  • Collaborate with store managers and area managers to achieve business objectives and improve performance
Requirements
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in pet grooming, with a strong background in all breeds and types of dogs
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers, staff, and management
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
  • A thorough understanding of animal behavior and body language, with the ability to handle difficult or aggressive dogs safely and humanely
  • A certificate in pet grooming or a related field (desirable)
