About the Role:

As a Water Quality Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the provision of safe and reliable drinking water to our customers. You will work closely with our team to develop and implement water management plans, manage drinking water and recycled water quality, and contribute to the development of water quality performance indicators.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide specialist knowledge and expertise in chemistry, microbiology, public health, and quality systems to Unitywater staff.
  • Participate in the implementation and management of drinking water quality management plans and recycled water management plans.
  • Contribute to the review and analysis of water quality data and identify emerging water quality issues.
  • Participate in the review and audit of water management plans and contribute to the development of water quality performance indicators.

About You:

To be successful in this role, you will require relevant tertiary qualifications in science or engineering, with a strong emphasis on chemistry, microbiology, or biochemistry. Experience in the water industry and knowledge of drinking water and recycled water management practices are highly desirable. You will also need to possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to negotiate successful outcomes in complex situations.
