Airport Retail Leader

Role Overview

As an Area Manager at Sydney Airport, you will be responsible for leading a team of professionals to deliver exceptional customer experiences and operational excellence across multiple locations.

This role involves inspiring and supporting store teams, managing store operations and performance, driving sales through strong leadership and goal setting, building a positive team culture, and collaborating cross-functionally to ensure smooth daily operations.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience leading retail teams in a fast-paced environment, excellent communication and leadership skills, a polished professional presence, and the ability to inspire, coach and empower team members.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leading a team of approximately 100 people, including up to 5 store managers
  • Coach, mentor & grow your teams to be their best
  • Manage store operations & performance with accountability
  • Drive sales through strong leadership & goal setting
  • Build a positive, respectful team culture
  • Cross-functional collaboration to ensure smooth daily operations

Requirements:

  • Previous experience leading retail teams in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Polished, professional presence and positive attitude
  • Proven ability to inspire, coach and empower team members
  • Flexibility to work a rotating roster
  • Valid working rights & ability to obtain an Aviation Security ID Card
