Project Overview

We are seeking a skilled professional to coordinate the successful delivery of a major fabrication project. This exciting opportunity will see you work closely with our workshop teams and vendors to achieve critical project milestones.

Responsibilities
  • Capture engineering activities for the fabrication phase, ensuring seamless execution.
  • Develop and manage the fabrication plan, incorporating material specifications, welding procedures, and production schedules.
  • Liaise with workshops and vendors to guarantee on-time delivery and high-quality workmanship.
  • Review and interpret project drawings, BOMs, and technical documents.
  • Conduct on-site inspections and quality checks to confirm compliance with client specifications, safety standards, and fabrication codes.
  • Foster a culture of safety, quality, and process improvements.
Requirements
  • Degree-qualified in Mechanical, Structural, or Industrial Engineering.
  • Proven experience in fabrication engineering within oil & gas, mining, or heavy industry.
  • Strong knowledge of fabrication tools, welding standards, and metalworking techniques.
  • Proficient in CAD software and project management tools.
  • Familiar with Australian Standards relevant to fabrication and construction.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills.
  • Welding Inspector or equivalent quality certification (highly regarded).
