Job Opportunity: Head of Teaching and Learning (Secondary)

Waverley Christian College is seeking a dedicated and experienced educator to fill the role of Head of Teaching and Learning (Secondary). As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to optimize teaching and learning in our Secondary School.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain effective teaching and learning strategies to improve student outcomes.
  • Provide leadership and support to Secondary staff to enhance their teaching practices.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to design and implement curriculum programs.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of teaching and learning programs.
  • Contribute to the development of a positive and inclusive school culture.
Requirements:
  • Qualifications: Bachelor of Education or equivalent.
  • Registration: Current registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT).
  • First Aid: Current First Aid qualifications and Anaphylaxis Certificate or willingness to obtain prior to commencement.
  • Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Leadership: Proven leadership skills and ability to work collaboratively with staff.
