Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Transport Coordinator to optimize the productivity of our courier fleet.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Allocating Deliveries: You will allocate same-day metropolitan courier pick-ups through our computerized dispatch system to ensure timely delivery.
  • Monitoring Performance: You will monitor delivery partners to ensure they are maintaining service standards and operational procedures.
  • Communicating Effectively: You will communicate effectively with delivery partners and call centre team members to resolve issues and improve job delivery performance.
  • Analyzing Performance Targets: You will analyze daily DIFOT performance targets to meet customer service levels.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Previous Experience: You will have previous transport allocation experience, preferably in a same-day courier environment.
  • Excellent Communication Skills: You will have excellent communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Technical Skills: You will have intermediate level proficiency in MS Excel and Word.
  • Industry Knowledge: You will have industry experience in local direct delivery, working with contract carriers, and taxi trucks.
  • Multitasking Ability: You will have demonstrated ability to multitask and self-organize in a fast-moving environment.
