Job Title: Information Security Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Information Security Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining all required security audit records, preparing these for audit processes, and leading investigations into local security incidents.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Maintain all required security audit records and prepare these for audit processes.
  • Lead investigations into local security incidents.
  • Ensure local security systems are effectively configured to detect and block threats.
  • Ensure vulnerability management is performed as per requirements.
  • Review requests for change from a security perspective and provide advice.
  • Assist in developing and maintaining standard operating procedures for the local systems to ensure they comply with security policies.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Australian Citizenship required to attain Baseline Clearance.
  • A minimum of 3 years industry experience in an information security function.
  • Solid technical knowledge of current IT security systems, practices, and standards.
  • Experience in using SIEM, vulnerability management tools, intrusion detection, and other security systems.
  • Excellent documentation and communication skills are essential.
  • Knowledge in information security and cyber security standards, frameworks, and code of practices such as ISO/IEC 27001, ISO/IEC 27002, NIST Cyber Security Framework, etc.
  • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or CISM - Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) will be well regarded.
