We are seeking a seasoned privacy lawyer to provide expert legal counsel on data protection and privacy issues.
About the Role- The ideal candidate will have in-depth expertise with the Australian Privacy Act, along with exceptional interpersonal skills to excel in a dynamic and fast-paced legal environment.
- Foster understanding and adherence to Australian privacy laws, focusing on the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).
- Develop, negotiate, and assess commercial agreements that include information law clauses.
- Offer strategic guidance on compliance reporting, data tracking requirements, and updates to internal codes of conduct.
- A minimum of 5 years post-qualification experience, preferably in an in-house legal setting.
- Demonstrated proficiency in drafting comprehensive data privacy and data processing agreements.
- In-depth knowledge of privacy law, supported by proven experience in the field.
- Exceptional communication skills to convey complex information effectively.
- Full working rights in Australia and eligibility to practice law within the country.
